Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends is an Auxiliary Group within New Friends New Life. The purpose of this group is to support the mission of New Friends New Life through volunteerism, community awareness, and fundraising. As a Circle of Friends partner, you will have the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of ways within the organization.

Within this group there are positions which will be slatted for the duration of one year (September-August). There is a President, a Secretary/Treasurer and then various Chairs for other positions such as Membership and Events. 

We have three committees with varying focuses: 

• Donations & Fundraising Committee
  • Areas of Focus:
    • Help assemble & provide 36 backpacks/quarter for teen center
    • Help provide gift cards to local restaurants & grocery stores to feed teens in our teen center
    • Help raise funds or secure donation of minivan for teen center
    • Help come up with ideas to raise $10K for Teen Center
• Membership & Recruitment Committee
  • Areas of Focus:
    • Help recruit members to join. Goal: increase membership to 300
    • Help plan two events to engage young professionals
• Education & Awareness Committee
  • Areas of Focus:
    • Invite NFNL’s manKINDness Project into 5 new schools
    • Host or secure host for one of six community catalyst educational neighborhood events
    • Invite attorneys to attend the Continuing Legal Education opportunity for NFNL (date TBD)
