Volunteer: Conference on Crimes Against Women (Sign Up through links in description as well) (copy)

Hi everyone,
New Friends New Life would love assistance with support our wonderful partners from the Conference on Crimes Against Women led my Genesis Women's Shelter. In order to confirm volunteer counts and reporting for both agencies, register HERE on Galaxy and through the links below via Bloomrang. Samantha from Genesis will reach out with further information once registers through Bloomerang:

PLEASE NOTE THE SUNDAY SHIFT LISTED IN GALAXY IS FOR THE TRAINING

Volunteers are essential to the success and growth of this conference year after year. Volunteers will serve as room monitors during the conference, sitting in workshops to assist speakers as needed and helping with crowd control. Shifts typically last 6 hours, Monday through Wednesday, the two shifts are 6:30am to 11:30am and 11am to 5:30pm, and on Thursday, there is one shift from 6:30am to 11:30am

There will be a mandatory Orientation on Sunday, May 17th, from 1pm-3pm. This is a requirement for signing up to volunteer.

The orientation will be approximately 2 hours. This will give you the opportunity to receive your shirt, learn the in-depth details of volunteering for the conference, and get familiar with the space beforehand. Please sign up for this first on the "shift sign-ups" and then whichever other shift(s) you would like!

Public Page Link https://volunteer.bloomerang.co/JE/zznykse94r0bjq

Shift Selection Link  https://volunteer.bloomerang.co/volunteer/#/shift-selection?k=zznykse94r0bjq

If you are not acquainted with our volunteer software, this is a quick rundown. The link is a public link, so you should be able to access it, if you cannot, please let me know. Next, you will first click the public page link. This is where you will join the opportunity; this does not mean you have signed up for a shift, this just means you are a part of the opportunity. You will then either need to go into shift selection or click the second link and pick out what shift works best for you!

*Additional details: You can park in the Sheraton parking garage for a discount of $15 per day. I will send more details, including pictures, as we get closer. You can also keep a look out for street parking. Whatever works best for you and your vehicle!

Water and snacks available. If you are working both shifts a day, lunch will be provided, and Samantha will contact you about that. Please note: If you choose to bring your lunch, there is no microwave or refrigerator*

Volunteer: Childcare Assistance- May (Week 4)

Looking for volunteers who are able to serve our Children's Program by providing childcare. Childcare volunteers are essential to ensure our clients are able to attend their sessions and meetings knowing their child is in a safe environment as they focus on their restoration and healing.

A few things to note:

When you arrive to our building located at 1215 Skiles St. Dallas,TX 75204, buzz in at the front and notify the front desk that you are there for childcare. They will direct you to the childcare room.

A file will be provided to you at the front desk with more information on the kids. In the case that you need any support, please reach out to me directly. I will leave my contact information in the childcare room.

Keep cell phone use limited. No photos can be taken of members or their children for privacy purposes and as a friendly reminder, there can’t be an exchange of contact information.

Please put away all toys, wipe down the childcare room with wipes, and spray Lysol once you’ve completed your shift
